I think chemicals are a big issue in our world. I think degenerative diseases, autoimmune are going to spike dramatically in the near future. I tried to live as organically and close to nature for years, but the fact is these chemicals are cycling through the whole world. DDT in penguins and polar bears, and it has been banned for 40 years.
It is almost depressing. OK, it is depressing. I did a big paper last term on environmental ethics. It is greed that drives people to neglect the earth, and it will come back to hurt us all.
I have a Sci Fi book I have been planning to write for 20 years on this topic. By the time I get it written, it will be out of date. LOL
I'm not saying go crazy extreme and join the Amish community all I'm saying is be aware. All these toxins we are exposed to build up in our system over time and cause health problems. The general public needs to be informed so they can make conscientious decisions. Other wise we are all at the mercy of what our government enforces that we are made aware of.
Sure I may die of cancer either way but I want to know why. Also I'd like to at least be informed.
BTW MSG has been linked to learning disorders and neurological brain damage. The pharmaceutical industry is investing vast resources in the development of glutamate receptor blockers to protect CNS neurons against glutamate neurotoxicity. I think that's interesting considering MSG is in practically all processed food.
