I feel like running away all the time..and go to a peaceful place.Especially when im manic....

I did just runaway, with my girlfriend and when I was 16. She was going so I joined her and forgot to leave my mom a note. I didn't care I was on probation so I spent a week in Juvie afterwards.

We went to Marin County above San Francisco and paid $20 for an old trailer then stole food from the local stores. My pregnant girlfriend told me she was going shopping and I waited for her for a week.

I then came home to my empty love nest. She was already home and had dumped me for a new guy. Story of my life.

Later after I had graduated I had a book called Spiritual Communities in N America and I visited a few places until I joined a cult. Easy pickings with a bulls-eye on my face.

My home is like my prison due to my reclusiveness. I try to get out more but today I had a migraine, the med made me sleepy so I slept the afternoon away. Oh shit. I just remembered the pile of laundry I have to do. So yes, running away sounds nice.

Oh yes, I would take my dog and go to the beach and just lie there and read books and smoke cigarettes.

Gosh, that sounds really good. I would love to go to a nice hotel, with room service, pool spa, great amenities, ocean view. Then have all the books and time, with no interruptions. And no chores to do, just indulge myself....just be, instead of doing all the time. I think everyone just wants to run away some of the time, do we just want to do it more often?

I want to run away. Right now. To somewhere dark where I'm alone and I can alternately cry and scream as loud as I want to in peace. Somewhere where I can fall apart and maybe start to feel less like crap. Anywhere but here tonight.

I sometimes want to run from the distractractions of life so I often go to the Smokies. If I could live up there I'd probably never feel like running.

That would be 1970 and 1971- the other thread. Nope - I love my home and family. On the few occasions I ever wanted to run away from home, I realized it was myself I wanted to run away from. Pretty hard to get away from me. Although I used to really try hard, I confess.

As much as I love my family, I would love to run away! If I had one weekend to myself I would be good. I hate pretending like everything is ok, hiding the scars when I cut, running away when I am about to cry... I just want to be.

Everyday..... sometimes feelings and thoughts are so extreme, so often it seems like the best option.

Evertime I go to disneyworld I find myself at such a place of peace. No depression, no mania and if I could stay forever it would be magic. Of course I'd miss friends and family but I'd visit (smile).

I run away every time I am alone, driving, watching tv, listening to music, etc. I wonder what my facial expressions are like when I think I am a King of the Harmonica playing the blues and in my car????
