If I was not in school right now, I would run to a warm deserted island, where I can lay on the beach, where I can either swim, read a pick, or pick produce.

I sometimes can't stand it when everybody wants a piece of me.

I go to work, and everyone needs me there....I go home and my son hangs on me at home, and my husband? Well, he's constantly hanging on me, and it sometimes drives me up the wall. Sometimes I just want to be completely by myself where no one can get at me.

I think that's why I stay up so late all the time.......I have to get my alone, me-time in there somewhere.

I always find a way to run away but since I'm getting older I find it's easier to stay and deal with what I have to.

Holy Crap --- That is me. I always want to run away. My first episode started because I drove awayy from a uncomfortable situation and somehow drove to an emergency ward.

I just want to get away from people.

My wife won't let me leave. She all but locks me in.

I am always wanting to runaway. I know one place no one would look for me and I have always wanted to go is Illinois where my friend lives that no one knows. Only problem is I wouldnt runaway for long I would miss my kids to much my hubby a maybe lol. So I just make excuses to runaway to the store for an hour or two.

I hear you all loud and clear. Lately I want to run away and escape the mundane routine of chores, responsibility and life and it's constant demands. Sounds selfish, but I am tiring of taking care of every thing for my kids, husband, house, dog, etc. I just want to be selfish and escape and seek pleasure, no should and no have-to's. I am sick of people hanging on me, constantly interrupting me, and the treadmill of activity I am on to keep it all running. The remedy? I like to take off somewhere, anywhere by myself. Like the post on line that said she went grocery shopping. Even seeing a movie by myself is a welcome change.
I think maybe I am just having a bad day, and that really makes me want to run for the hills, and be alone with myself...

I would run away to the smokey mountain area, I love it there it is sooo relaxing. Don't know if I could deal with the cold weather though.

Yeah I've had this a lot lately, I actually started planning it a couple of times, I thought I would go and get work on a yacht and just lose myself in the middle of nowhere. ALternatively just rock up to the airport and literally get on the next flight out of here, whereever that may be. I discussed it with my therapist last week and he pointed out that my desire to run away seems to be more focussed on the getting away rather than where I was going. He also observed that it has taken the place of suicidal thoughts, and is infinitely preferable to that.

only feel this way when depressed & it's only been a few times. I just journaled about it the other day. I'd like to go somewhere where it rains all the time.

When I am overwelmed I just want to get in my car and drive, drive, drive til I run out of gas.

Lately very often

Back when my bipolar was not so controlled..if we had money in the bank I would hook my pop up camper to the back of the car and take off to Chincoteague with the kids and a letter to my hubby saying meet me a few days when you are done work. other times I have booked hotel rooms and stayed in them. I used to be very spontaneus. I loved just getting the hell away from home. The stress of the bills, the family and the endless probs.

Yes especially nowadays. Just go and get lost in the mountains or forests of peru

Sometimes I do. Would love to get lost in the mountains somewhere on the banks of a river.
