Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Anyway, the ritalin really helps me say no to excess food, it even makes food taste less good because your "craving" appetite is diminished. Not to say I don't enjoy food, I just don't chow down and pig out like I used to after I took the depakote and seroqeul ( aka the munchie pill brigade). Also, the ritalin has a comedown that can be harsh the first few weeks, but eating a meal during comedown somehow really seems to ease this. Perhaps a blood sugar thing?
