So what we're left with is it was some kind bacterial infection and or a combination of a bacterial infection caused the air that was being forced into my stomach by the CPAP machine. I'm hedging my bets on the latter.
So hopeful since I sent the machine back this problem is over for good,

Someone complained about off topic threads on the main board. Guess that is why this was moved.
I'm in trouble because I have difficulty staying on topic. Everything is relevant to me.
You sent your CPAP back? Were you supposed to? I ask this because I used to have sleep apnea quite bad. My doctors were adamant that I use that mchine every night. Not using it and continuing to have apnea can lead to death by heart attack or stopping breathing all together.
I can see an infection being caused by the machine if there was a way for it to get infected. How could it? I make sure my husband's is changed daily, his mask is cleaned daily and once a week I clean the insides of the hoses. So far no problems.
