Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I hope you feel better
I'm surprised that your (apparently worthless) professionals aren't giving you good guidance and support. From what I saw on one website it might be good to eat a low-fat high fiber diet for 30 days or so. Everybody seems to react differently to the surgery but that's no reason to put up with lack of care. Eat small amounts multiple times a day, but eat. Take care.
He works for you, and you have a valid concern.

I eat what I want. Right now I eat lots of greek yogurt, cheeses, meat slices, occasional pizza, some red meat, some chicken, beans, protein bars, sherbert, fruits, some vegetables, drink about a coke and half a day, milk, and lots of water. I am better than ever. And it isn't that my digestive system is wonderful cause I have had GERD for years. So in my opinion I would just eat and not worry. Eat several small meals a day. That is easier anyways. Plus you have to have a mixture of protein and fat to satisfy hunger so don't give up fat. I got really strong protein shakes in the health food section for the first few weeks after the surgery then went to a regular diet. There is no reason not to.
Good luck.
To me, your symptoms sound more like depression than anything else, honestly. The "it's too hard" part. Believe me, I have been there before and after the gallbladder thing.
Is there anything that appeals to you? Even something not good for you? (Right now my vices are chocolate chips and seedless watermelon. Not together. Ha ha.) Even if you were to just keep some peanut butter crackers or granola bars around, that might help you get back into eating more regularly. Not eating is not good for anyone, but for BP's it's really bad because it's part of the circadian rhythm, which BP is basically a disturbance of. You need to eat, sweetie. Talk to your regular doc and your pdoc and tdoc... good luck and I hope you feel better!
The way to overcome it is to teach your body that nothing will happen when you eat. Eat something small and light. Change the area of the house that you eat in or go out to eat until your body adjusts to food.
Moving on it is possible for you to have developed an eating disorder. If you have developed an eating disorder there is help out there different programs for different people. What works for me (I have a binge eating disorder) might not work for you.
Definitely keep going to doctors until one LISTENS to you. They are few and far in between so I suggest you might want to look at it in the following manner: There is someone out there who can help me I just have not found them yet.
Good luck to you.
