I have a buddy who just got a disability payment lump sum and seriously bought 200 DVD's then couldn't buy a $1500 car his family desperately needs.
Well I just got some old accts caught up for my business and am sittin on a few thousand. The only good thing is I can go on a spending spree for my company and write it off (hehehe). Seriously I am paying old bills and getting things caught up... a good feeling too. NOT like when I got my first disability check and went to Disney World.
So how about you all responsibility and thrift, or manic spending spree!
Hmmmmm I wonder how much a call girl costs these days??? (Just Kidding... internet dating is free hehehe)

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

When I have extra I buy books or music stuff or computer stuff.
One day I was going out for lunch and thought it was a good idea to make a stop along the way to buy a new Camero (of course payment plan) and then a fur coat again on time....sigh
Now I am really careful... I'm on disability and I got rid of all of my credit cards... I only go to the bank 1-2 times a month and don't use my bank card to pay for things accept for the very odd time
I make lists before I go shopping .... These things have helped me to be aware of what I'm doing and to pay attention
We have to budget in my household. We went two weeks without water, and I didn't like that at all.
I have begun to be uber careful about money now. I put away 20% of my disability check and ALL of my pet sitting money. That is untouchable cash, not allowed to dip into it for anything. I paid for my whole wedding that way and now am saving for a car.
(She says as she only has $100 to get her through the next two weeks... but, all the bills and pet care and stuff are PAID.)
