i dont have anything to do tomorrow but clean house. my meds have been giving my arms the jumpies while i try to fall asleep and i want to just have a good rest. i've been feeling pretty normal for over a week now just little mood swings nothing real majior.

what would one night hurt?

that depends on what you take. i feel for you, believe me, but i wouldn't want you to have a bad episode due to no meds.

i take 16 pills every night, lamictal, risperdol and diazapam all at max doses for my bipolar and stuff for my blood pressure and cholesteral. it can be pretty intimidating to see all those pills laid out sometimes

I never "want" to take meds.
I know what happens if I don't stay on them.
I hate who I am when I'm off the plan. Devistating.

i would take them...a lot of meds really need to be taken on time. i take something for sleep, maybe doc could give you something that is light and non-addictive?

I do that too. One night, it's just one night. Well, if it WILL ONLY be one night, what the heck. Can you take them 1st thing in the morning?
Which drug does that to your arms? Maybe you can just skip that?
If I take Litium & Lamictal at the same time, I get the arm jumpies. See if you can isolate the cause.

Ya I agree as much as you may hate em I would take em. The combinations are probally fine tuned and like you said there is blood preaser and stuff involved and you never know when one of those meds may just be the wrong one to miss in a mix of meds.

Do you pill box em? I pill box my mass of meds because if I had to spend the time everyday digging in the bottles I would feel overwhelmed to. I have about 12 bottles 2 or 3 are prns... most are only one pill a bottle but its still over whelming. I would try to figure out what meds are making you jumpy... they may be able to make it a morning med so that you get better sleep

Thats every bpers dream self medicate till you get into trouble then watchout.
Keep taking them as prescribed nomatter what if you need a change contact your pdoc

If you know which drug is messing with your arms you could cut back instead of stopping cold turkey.

Take half the dose and all other meds, if there are any. And keep a record of your emotions in a journal. That will look good when you see your pdoc.

If it works fine for a while then cut that in half again, and keep the log up daily.

well i took them thanks for the proding if i can't fall asleep i will blame all of you.
i do track my moods and reactions though with a real cool mood graph i got off line...
