Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I had a real bad day yesterday. I was severly depressed for no particular reason. Sometimes I give in and take something that will help me sleep then crawl in bed and stay there hoping that when I wake up the depression will have passed. Yesterday I slept almost continually for 17 hours. I do feel a bit better today, though it took me a while to shake off the physical hangover.
Lately I have been trying to reach out and find community and activity; trying to start a MeetUp group in my new hometown, checking out a couple churches, having coffee with a neighbour. That is not because I am in a good place emotionally or feeling well and strong. It is more a desperate attempt at finding a life. My therapist was proud of me when I told her of my attempts for stepping out of my comfort zone but that is taking a tole. The failed attempts only make me feel worse. Sleeping like I did yesterday is just a way for me to hold on and not give up entirely.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Good for you pushing yourself to start something so positive when you really don't feel up to it..... That takes courage.....
Big squishy hug.....xo
It's great that you have attempted to do all those things despite your depression. It's hard to get up and get out when depressed, much less initiating things.
