Sometimes daily. But the truth is, other than a few pounds or a hair color or coat of makeup....nothing really Changes about how I look...it's just how I Feel about myself at the moment.
And I don't have 50 million people - or even One, right now - running around telling me I'm pretty or anything, so that doesn't help.
...you know, I've mentioned this once before...my eldest sister is 62 years old this year. I've known her Forever (well, duh) - and the thing is, she really "isn't" pretty. By worldly standards.
She cuts her own hair, and it can get kinda crooked sometimes. She never has worn any makeup or anything; she's got my Father's big nose and long face, etc, and she wears those big, old-fashioned glasses that take up her whole face - you know?
(I'd put up a picture, but that would be Rude) - point is...everyone LOVES her. She's like Mother Teresa to people, and everyone says she's Beautiful.
She could Never win any beauty contests, but she's never lacked for a husband when she wanted one :P
We are our own worst enemies, XFor....and I've always thought you were pretty cute. (nice eyes, face, etc) (I'm old enough to be your Mother, so I "know" it doesn't count, lol)
It's just that, when we Feel like we're ugly, we go around hanging our heads, not looking people in the eye, shuffling our feet, and doing all those little things that tell Other people we think we're ugly.
And then the don't see how Gorgeous we are - they only see someone who is miserable.
Your paintings are Amazing, but I know some of those reflect your feelings about yourself. That can make you a good painter and all, but...
Tell yourself you're beautiful. Every day. No matter how you feel about it.
It's okay to do that. Because it's True. :)
you might try painting you and all of your beauty. not only will you be expressing what you love to do, but making who you are come to life in your own way on canvas. you are a handsome guy and on the inside from what i have known over a year or so, the inside matches the outside. be kind to you :)
