Have any of you ever had the desire to do NOTHING at all? Like all your passions were dead and you didn't care about any of them anymore? That's where I'm at right now. I've been feeling this way for months now. I don't know how to change it. I have zero desire to do anything, and nothing excites me. It makes me just want to cry all day. I can't even enjoy TV shows I used to like anymore. Everything seems so stupid and pointless. When I was psychotic I guess I was so "high" that I am now the lowest you can get.
Life doesn't excite me anymore. I've almost lost my faith. Not even nature seems to lift my spirits these days, or animals. I would give anything to end my misery but I am stuck here for God knows how long. Is anyone else in the same boat, where NOTHING is bringing you pleasure? I mean NOTHING. Even TV shows that you used to like now seem stupid and pointless? I almost feel this psychotic break has ruined my life.

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Hopefully, things will swing back around and the apathy will lessen.
Maybe talk to the pdoc or therapist?
KrystalV--yes. I have had that. for months. It is sucky. I am very fickle about TV shows. Sad but true. I was totally loving "How I Met Your Mother". Now I could care less. Trivial example. I know.
Ride it out. Go through the motions....Even try something different. Make yourself keep doing life.
and see a doc. Hopefully there will be some med that can help. It might take time for this to work.
I have been on 3 antidepressants in a month. Long crappy story. But if you have tried and nothing has worked, I really feel for you.
I'm worried about my future. It seems like most people have a passion for something. I have a passion for nothing. I was once passionate about nature and geeky things, like the hobbit movie coming out. Now I just feel "whatever" about it all. I feel like I have an incurable disease :( but what makes it worse is it's not terminal, so I get no relief. Uhg.
The first flavor I call, "Depression." I will let the psych books describe that one.
The second I call, "Quiet Spells." They are the plateaus of my life where I pretty much have what I need and don't need to do much more than take care of established businesses. During the quiet spells, taking too much interest in the world outside that established business will tempt me into manic unpredictability.
That's my theory. Not so sure I'm sticking to it.
I d suggest going and getting tweaked.
Just know this will pass, it's the brains way of trying to reach it's balance back.
You may need to talk to your pdoc to get something to help level you out.
Hugs my friend, I know it's tough.
Had this problem when I took an AP.
It's the flipside of the high & you will feel deadened for a while (can't tell you how long) but it does go away. It just does.
If you want further confirmation that this is a part of the cycle & you can concentrate then Kay Redfield Jamieson's books on BP are helpful.
