Depression or just tired?

In the 3 1/2 weeks that I have been taking my hepatitis treatment I'm having a hard time distinguishing between just being tired and being depressed.

It seems all I want to do is sleep, my motivation to do anything has pretty much gone by the wayside. Don't get me wrong I haven't had any feelings towards SH or SI but I have not been motivated to do anything either. I have I have a psychiatrist appointment coming up next Wednesday I'm not sure if I should mention this as a depression or just that the medication is making me extremely tired.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd discuss it with your doc. Some med side-effects can be depressing!

I know when my landlord was receiving Hep C treatments he was always tired... He needed a lot of sleep and rest..
The treatment is heavy duty sweetie.. I think it's to be expected..
I would talk to your pdoc about it though..

I think for the course of the treatment you're going to have to treat yourself gently and get the rest you need.. Your body and mind will tell you what it needs are..

iv'e often asked myself if i'm just tired or depressed. they seem to go hand in hand. i wish i had good advice for you but seeing your doc is the best i can do. take care!

Just talk to your Pdoc .
Tell him what you have told us .

I would think, that these extreme medications for Hep C treatment , would surely contribute to feeling depressed

and think of the stress involved too

I have known others taking treatment for Hep C, and they all say it makes them very very tried.
