In theory, I should be jumping up and down happy. I'm going on vacation for nine days. Instead, I could barely get out of bed today. It's 3pm and I'm finally up for good.
I feel like I have whiplash.
I haven't been depressed in quite some time. Hopefully this doesn't transfer over to next week when I leave.
Any advice?

How'd you do today? Were you able to take that walk or work on the apartment. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I finally cleaned my floors and I'm at a twilight zone play atm. So I'm doing better but still not my best

I often get depressed out of nowhere and it just comes on sooo fast and there is not real cause of it. It goes away and re appears out of no where again. It's a constant fight...sometimes you win over it and sometimes the depression wins. If you get into the cycle of you winning over the depression...More often you can overcome it I think

I am the same way, depression can hit me right out of the blue. But as others here have said, you have to keep going and try to fight it. I walk the dogs or clean the house or go see a friend, anything to get my mind off the depression. I hope you are feeling better.

i hope you are feeling better today, i have had depression hit out of nowhere before and it sucks, but i have found if i can force myself to do something- like take a wlak or meditate or do some housework- i feel a little bit better

Sounds familiar. I went to Ireland in June and I was depressed a week or 2 before I left but I didn't want to cancel it was a big trip to europe after all. I think exercising is great. Read up on your vacation, make plans. Keep active. Do some cooking. If you are a cook maybe make a pie or a meal. Just walk, meditate, keep active. Get excited about your vacation as much as you can. Think of things to do while you are on it.

I'm feeling so much better today. It's unbelievable! Woke up and was chipper and ready to go to physical therapy (which I hate.) The only thing bugging me today is my anxiety. It's most likely from not smoking. I could really use a cigarette but I can't afford them!

And last night was fun (besides the people I went with. They are too lovey lovey and pda-ish for me. And my my landlady's bf is a creep.) I went to see The Twilight Zone in play version. Sooooo cool.

B, I already starting making plans with my old friends! They are excited to see me and that is a great feeling. I'm going to take my grandma almost 2 and a half hours away to her favorite shoe store. Going to hike a lot with my dad. Get to cook some of my favorite things to show my grandma how much I rock at cooking. I asked her if she could make her famous apple sauce and she said yes, that's a big thing to look forward to! I'm going to bring my good camera and take TONS of pictures!
