Can anyone tell me how long, or about how long, it should take it to work? I have been on it for almost a week and I still feel the same.

oh ya it takes at least 2 week or more before you can notice the effects so hang in there.

I think that it is really dependent on the person. For instance, when I was put on Depakote, I started to see a difference within the first week. But they say to give it about 10 days.

Be careful with depacote. High dosages will affect your liver very quickly. To be safe ask your GP as well as your shrink about it.

it depends on if your levels are right, when they are theraputic you will feel the difference. make sure you get your blood drawn like your supposed to. usually they draw after the first week, then every few months until levels stable. ask the md who prescribed it. You should make sure you have a liver panel done and thyroid panel before starting it though, hope your doc did that already. it can be dangerous otherwise.
