Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

You have both let me down. I feel broken, damaged and drowned. Having a nervous breakdown last year brought me to my knees. Being diagnosed with bipolar disorder alleviated my mind, but brought on new issues.
The panic attacks and dark thoughts are the worst. My panic attacks have changed from being completely physical to more mental. When my mind feels like it is crashing in I want to die to end the pain.
I miss my hypomania. I didn't know I was bipolar back then. I miss painting, writing and being the life of the party. It was only temporary- depression would come creeping back, but the good times were so good.
The trust I once had for myself is broken. I fell apart so hard last year I fear it will happen again. The loss of self trust has taken away my confidence.
I'm envious. I'm envious of people who have support systems. People that can move home or visit their family when they crack. I have to buckle up and rejoin the world. I will never get a free or discounted ride.
Happiness is temporarily gone. The most mundane task becomes difficult.
I wish I could go to work, walk the dog, make dinner and watch tv. No, I go to work, stress at work, drive home and stress about work; fall into the couch and watch with utter guilt my dog being sad she does not get another walk that day.
Dark thoughts. Intrusive. I would never speak to anyone the way I speak to myself. Making mistakes at my new job- today I made myself sick. Took two milligrams of xanax and white nuckled it through the day. Came home and went deep into my head. "They all hate me." "They regret hiring me." "I will get fired". All day. Every day. Self doubt. I become my own enemy.
I want to come back to where I was. I hope I make it. I hope I look in the mirror one day and recognize the face staring back. I hope I find peace again.

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

Trying out different med combos
Feeling like a lab rat
This med , that med.
Eventually it does get better
But as these previous mentioned small negativities built up inside you you began to come down and then found yourself depressed and having a mental breakdown, even being diagnosed as bipolar (welcome to the club)
But as the wise caring person you are, you realised 2 things. First that mother nature sends us into depression to say if you want to achieve that higher goal, then calm right down and think. Think about this pain in the depths of your soul you feel now. Mother nature tells you it is for own good. Why? Because 2ndly you have heard the term many times "But I do not want to cause you any unnecessary pain or any unnecessary suffering." Therefore this tells us that some pain and some suffering IS necessary to help us. Maybe to help us learn to live with something a parent did when we were young, or all manner of things.
And when you realise this and even have to visit a doctor to give you meds to help you fight this pain you will gradually get better. And you will be well again and relieved. Then one day you will be happy you came through it all and did not do anything stupid.
Why have I said all the above? Because I am bipolar one and its exactly what happened to me. On my last high I was nearly killed. Then came a major depression and I nearly killed myself. But I slowly worked out the above things and gradually go oh so much better. And so will you. I have to take a mood stabiliser every day now, but now want to live as long as possible and enjoy the ride.
I've thought and felt all the things you described but for the most part I talk back to all the negative thoughts about myself and try to re-frame them. It makes life easier.
I sure hope you find some peace and eventually trust back in yourself.
(((HUGS)))
And we all know that saying sorry is often the hardest word to say. but it often breaks down barriers and is a humbling experience to both parties. And the instigator gets better soonest.
May we both find peace again.

I think it's so many changes all at once. You are NOT alone. I am in the same boat.
I hope things start to look brighter for you. ((((HUGS)))) God Bless.
