I am goint off Cymbalta/Duloxetine and my MD wants to cross taper, which means go off Cymbalta in stages while starting Sertraline/Zoloft in stages.
I've read many papers that state cymbalta should be tapered off completely over four weeks with a 2.5 week detox time (no anti-depressant at all), then start the other medication.
I've cross tapered many anti-depressants and have never read this information about any of the others. Now I'm freaked out.
Anybody else have any experience with going off Cymbalta?

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
If you have concerns I would bring them up with your doctor or talk with the pharmacist.... They're experts with meds
