Is it just me or is it all BPer's....does everyone have a heightened sex drive...I just can't get enough!! ARRGGG!! and now my divorce will be final on Tuesday!! SHIT!!!

I know for a fact that not all BPs have a heightened sex drive. Not everything is attributable to BP. There are varying levels of sex drive throughout the entire population. The key is to find someone who is compatable so you can avoid divorce.

When I am manic it is insatiable. Even when I am stable I think I think about it more than most women. But I am also 39 - in that stage when women are"in the mood" all the time anyway. When my female friends complain about their husbands wanting it all the time, I am just amazed that they are complaining!

I have times where I'm a sex maniac. Other times I don't even wanna think about sex.

My sex drive is unaffected also and I take Lithium as well. I am always up for sex. Sometimes it take energy to get off the couch, but when I do...man watch out.!!

I wish I had your problem Kevin. I used to have a great sex drive, but since I've been on meds, sometimes I feel like if I never had sex again I just wouldn't care.

My sex drive is great! I use sex to "get away" from the thoughts racing through my head...it increases blood flow to the brain and makes those endorphins get flowing again!

Love it, love it,love it and its free yay. Why can't I sleep after though. I can count to 3 and he's fast asleep... me I get up and try to distract my brain from thinking about it... then I can sleep. Does this happen to people or just me????

I have trouble sleeping, actually usually ready to do it again. At my job we had an evaluation done of someone and this doctor says all bipolar people have three universal things in common: 1. highly intelligent 2. at some point deny they need meds and 3. extreme high sex drive. Anybody buy that?
