Could it be a mixed state?

I self diagnosed myself as bipolar because I had mania along with depression. My dr said I had major depression but he said I could have mania with depression and not be bipolar. I am wondering if it could be a mixed state? I will talk to my dr next time I see him. He said I had agitation with my depression to. I take saphis for mood stabilization and welbutrin and lexapro. I am looking for an answer to what my diagnoses is.

Your self-diagnosis could be right, but I came to the realization years ago that the right treatment is more important than the correct diagnosis.

It is just something I want to know for myself. My meds are working wonderfully. I have been stable for three years.

If you have been stable sfagrad that is great.

I have had a lot of trouble with mixed episodes I call them energized depressions. Careful they can be trouble....

    I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain. Just scroll on by my posts, if they are too...
