hi music, go to see you around again. thanks for the scrumptious food. sitting out in the sun again ( can't get enough of it!) having ice-cream sodas. yum. i brought a black-forest gateaux for all to share before we have a big bowl of chicken and ham salad for dinner later with crusty rolls. enjoy. anyone up for a game of backgammon? and maybe a glass of port?

Hey Irish. Ice cream sodas sound delish. As does chocolate cake, salad and crusty bread. I have never played backgammon before, is it fun?

Backgammon is fun. I used to have the game on a phone i had and i was addicted to playing the game! I think i gave myself repetitive strain injury from playing it all the time! eventually I that phone died and i haven't found one since with the game which is probably just as well. Wolfgang and I used to play it sometimes and if he won he would say 'what does that prove?' and i would laugh and reply 'that I am undoubtedly the better player!". his german sense of humour couldn't quite get it!

good morning MusicP, good to see you. we seem to be quite hit and miss these days - maybe it is the time of year. thanks for dinner last night which was delicious.
I am celebrating my first full night's sleep for months with a big stack of pancakes, bacon, eggs, tomatoes and black pepper sausage with lots of fruit for smoothies on the side. tea , coffee and a selection of freshly baked breads also waiting for any takers!

hi ML and spacekat , nice to see friendly faces, i have tried to post lately but have been unable to find my words. becoming more and more isolated every day. docs aren't much help. comfort food and welcome here is a big help. cucumbers sound yummy with scoop up chips! it is lunch time here and i have just made a fresh pot of coffee. I got another full night's sleep last night which was amazing. gearoid suggested putting an uncut clove of garlic under my pillow (some hippy remedy!) and astonishingly it seems to be working - i didn't even take my melatonin last night - strange but hopeful! i shall see how it goes. i guess it helps not to rule anything out no matter how 'out there' it seems! lol.
enjoy sunday. there's a custard and cherry tart for later that gearoid made yesterday and it is just divine - hot or cold (he insists cold but i ignored him and zapped it for 30 seconds in the microwave - delicious!). so savour the taste sensation!

hi there and welcome, yes it is hard to believe that summer is almost over here and I have only had one day out in the sun. at least we always have sunshine outside the patio doors in the lounge or snow outside the other ones. it's good to have choices. lol.
I got through the weekend.
