Colonoscopy Thursday

I have to go into have a colonoscopy on Thursday to find out if I have Crohn's Disease and I was wondering if anyone would like to take my place?

Not me. We used to prep them all the time when I was a nurse. I hear the Golyltely they give you is pretty nasty.

I don't have to take the Golyltely, I have to use Bisacoyl laxative and Miralax, Then if necessary take some Magnesium Citrate to clean me out

The "clean out" is the worst part, honest. The colonoscopy isnt so bad and it is over in a blink of an eye. Oh, and let me recommend that you DON'T mix the miralax in Gatorade if they tell you too. It isn't mandatory and mixing it actually made me sick to my stomach and cased me to throw up. The syrupy taste gets to you after a while.

Not a chance altough I must say when I had mine it was not as scary as I thought it would be. I got a nice relaxing massage before it happened, my doc was great, slept like a baby through the whole thing. The worst part was afterwards with all the uncontrolable gas...whoops excuse me.

I have to agree with Shelly the clean out part truly sucks.

I'm going to have to say no, two months ago in December I had one as my CEA's came back double of what they should have been during my 6 month check after cancer. This is a very good indicator of colon cancer so I had the joy of having a colonoscopy done.

I have to say of all the testing I have had done this was the worse prep but the easiest test. Goodluck and I hope that it comes back negative for Crohn's disease for you.
