Ok I will try to keep this short.... ok 1 hubby is bipolar. 2 caught hubby online dating sites and a shit load more. 3. Been watching since may 2015 cause all the other times he convinced me I was crazy... 4. Found out it's been going on 15years. 5. Going to counseling 1st time he played her bad, all I could do was shake my head. 2nd time she clicked in and called him out.. he is saying he doesn't want to work with her now... that is my first issue... ur bipolar, cheating and now u want to get no help for himself or this family... Second issue... I catch him in stuff try to pin him and he can't remember.... the lies are both crazy making and not Subtle I have evidence and date's in December when shit hit the fan and he is getting moody with me and pissed that I am saying he's lying... BUT HE IS.... I don't have trust now, would like to work on us and all he can say is I am not being unreasonable and don't understand bipolar he can't remember... ok so lets say memory loss is bipolar.. so he is saying he can't remember 10 days ago is this normal... tension is high we battle all the time.. I stay away right now cause in my point of view it isn't bipolar and he is simply not wanting to come clean, but if I am wrong tell me... tell me where to educate myself.... cause he could have had sex with other women and just can't remember... then that scares me can he kill me and not remember to? I have not found short term amnisia is a bipolar symtom yet... any advice would be great
If he is stable on his meds this shouldn't be happening... Hypersexuality is an effect of mania/or hypomania... Bipolar is a cyclical disorder so once treated successfully there should be long periods of stability in between cycles
If this isn't happening... If your husband lies to you regularly and has always been a cheater I would start to suspect that this may be more to do with his personality...
Why isn't he honest with a therapist?...
RE memory loss... Some meds can cause this.. I have huge memory problems due to being on benzo's for so many years.. It's embarrassing sometimes
From what you've written it may really help you to see a therapist on your own... Co dependency would be a hard life to live ongoing .. I don't know if you have children however this would effect the whole family
I'm so sorry you're hurting... You deserve to be treated well and honoured ... Sometimes we have to demand what we want or it's time to look for it elsewhere ( IMHO)
