im very serious about changing my first name which is Anneka, to something else i have a big real personal problem with my name and when said it makes me go to a place i hate. so i go by a nickname which is Annie, but im not sure i want to change it legally to that anyone have any name suggestions? i like the name faith.

My daughter is named Ameerah & means Princess literally.. Another name I like is Nadia - it has multiple meanings in different languages & Nadira which means rare or precious
I know quite a few people who have changed their name legally and it wasn't hard - they did not need a lawyer - they only went to the court and paid I think a couple hundred dollars... Personally I will not change my name, I like my first name and I like that my parents gave it to me and I like the meaning... people know me by two names, and I do not mind - I thought about changing my middle name though to the second name people know me as since it has the same beginning letter.

You could always do what some people named their babies when I worked for the health department - Abcde - yup - Abcde, it is pronounced Absidee, talk about a crazy name there.
