For instance, i want to paint full time. Fear of attention is stopping me.
I want to lose weight, once again, i dont want the attention, so i put it off.
Ive been thinking of a vision board. I would just like to be ok with the me i would like to be...
I feel you. This is an area i struggle with big time.
Change is so hard, even if it is in our best interest. I have such a long list of goals, but I'm doing my best to only focus on the things that are most important at this moment in time.
Thank you for validating that I'm not alone.
Have you ever tried a vision board.. clipping pics of what it is you want?
I did the eating shit jars for not taking things personally and boy has it worked.. i would rather stop bitching than take a bite of a tootsie roll out of one of my labeled cans. Its helped so much, im almost ready to retire my plastic cans.. good stuff..
but then i go to the procrastination thread and im reminded that i have the board i have the glue.. but yet i havent done it... urg, getting out of my own way is so hard sometimes
My biggest issue is trying to accomplish too many things at once. I'll start, but never finish. All things that I need to be consistent with too. It's a life change...not a temporary one.
I don't really know how to make a vision board, but I'll look it up and maybe come across some creative ways to make one. Thank you again for your reply. ps...I get in my own way every day. I totally hear you on that one.
One of the things I am doing to prepare myself is thinking of a new schedule and trying to simplify things.
I am afraid I am not much help. I hope you are able to accomplish your goals.
By accomplishing goals that I set, I take baby steps, I set things up in my mind, like the steps I need to take to make the change and then little by little I make them happen. I try to remember "baby steps" it works for me best...small changes will eventually add up and lead to bigger ones...:-)
