There are four feral cats living in an abandoned trailer across the street from my house. The lady in the house next to them is trying to round them up to neuter and then release them (TNR). I started taking food and water to them. Gradually,they are getting used to me and the fact that I have no intention of either hurting them or even disturbing them. I just like to sit and look out the window at them after they're fed. They are so comical. Now I get up in the morning and I'm anxious to get up and feed them,even before I've had my coffee. I've always been an animal lover and I'm glad to have the chance to spoil some kitties again.It makes me feel so good.

I hope the neighbour is taking the cats to the vet and not planning on doing a cruel at home neutering job... I know that some people do that

Feral cats can cause diseases that are communicable and deadly that's my fear of them at the same time if they can be inoculated at the same time they're neutered it would be absolutely fabulous....x

I learned from the lady who owns this group home that,when the cats are gathered together,they will be given veterinary care and then taken to "Carla"'s (my landlady) father's farm. The trailer in which they're living now has been condemned,so they will need to be properly cared for before the trailer is removed from the property,of course. Now that I know their (good) fate,I can relax and not worry about Spottie (mother cat who always greets me when I take food over,though of course when I lean down to put the food out,she moves away from me behind a partition),Whitey,Donnie and Ceci.

I think it's wonderful that you've given these cats a new chance on life to live somewhere more in tune with what they need (and would want). The momma cat sounds super protective of her babies - which she should - but she raised little concern over your touching love you brought her. Such a sweet story!

Oh! I'm an animal lover too. Glad to hear they will get a little vet attention. Don't want to be spreading any diseases and leukemia is a big one. They are so cute. Glad you are there for them. Hugs!

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
