I have been on this drug for almost a yr and It's not totally helping me. It dulls the symptoms but doesn't make me completly stable. I am still rapid cycling. I brush a lot and I am tired all the time. Out of 10 my best is a 5 for energy level I don't know if it's the drug , the depression or both. I have never felt so unenergized. I can't stay up past 9 usually. I am slugish through the day even when I have enough sleep. Sometimes my sleep is disturbed cause I take care of a 1 1/2 yr old and he wakes up sometimes in the middle of the night.

I wanted to see what others are like with this particular drug or if they can relate

I also the gym 3 times a week and that doesn;t seem to help my energy level over all. At times it perks me up for a short time but I still feel fatige. It helps my self esteem.

no sex drive either last 2/3 months. No desire don't care to have it at all. Not good for the relationship!

What dose are you on? I am BP 1 rapid cycler and I am on 800 mg/day. My dose was adjusted over about a year and this dose seems to be helpful.

I am also on Lithium (1200 mg/day). You may need two mood stablizers. Rapid cyclers often do.

200 mg 3 times a day once in the morning and twice later on in the day. 100 mg once a day for zoloft

I was on lithum for a short time. I can't remember the dosage but it didn't work for me, didnt notice much change.

I am bp1 as well so I have been told.

You may have to bump up the Carbamazepine again. I think you can go up to 1200 mg/day.

If Lithium didn't work, you may want to try a another mood stabilizer or an antipsychotic. There are a few docs use as mood stabilizers such as Seroquel, Geodon and Abilify.

Interesting. I was just put on this two days ago. I'm interested in learning anything I can about it. I'm on the name brand Tegretol.

I bruise a lot and my hair falls out a lot but not to the point where i am balled, cause i have sooo much hair.

I don't know if I have anymore that have anything to do with it but I get a lot of headaches and crave carbs
