For me, the beach is more soothing. I love being out in the salt air and sunshine and doing stuff in the water like surfing and swimming. Sun and water really help me. Never was a fan of the woods, I need to be in the sun and away from the creepy crawlers. Wish I could get into because my friends go all the time.

We are going to a log cabin near a ski slope this weekend for my father in-laws birthday. It's their friend's cabin that is totally maxed out with modern activities. He said they even have a pinball machine.

The ski slopes are switched over to some type of ride were you are strapped in at your bottom and have handles to hold on as you glide down the mountain.

This will be excellent for my family.

Anything that involves my in-laws turns into a total bummer! I love them at a distance.

I must figure out the courage to go for my family sake, but oh no not my in-laws.

I'm just not looking forward to a bunch of drunken assholes turning into bigger ones. I'm not sure I can make myself go. I wish they could just go without me. My husband would never leave me alone here, but that is what I want.

I hate extended family vacations.
