I am leaving DS, due to the risk of loosing my new laptop.

I lost my old laptop to a virus.

The first day of having this one, before I got a trail of malware protection I was attacked after only going too 3 websites, fb, my gmail and ds. I been using fb and gm for ages, ds is the only new one.

So I am sure it was ds, and with recent reports, so I am out of here.

You can't get a virus OR Malware unless you open something you shouldn't. Ignore the ads or links sent by strangers and you'll be fine.

I used Fb for years and never had a computer fried awhile use, I use this and then my laptop is destroy. Sorry I am scared to lost another Computer, I only came back here now, until my AVG trail over. Then I wont be on until I can buy it.

Fairy there is a free virus program that never expires it's called Microsoft Security Essentials. Google itBetter than AVG.

Super Anti spyware, the only thing is ms doesn't recognise it in as an anti virus application and thinks you don't have any. just change your prefs in the security to say you do have your own.

It's a shame people are leaving on the basis of rumour - I really think that while people are having problems it's not a virus or other malware. It's certain anti-viruses thinking something is malicious or some kind of windows incompatibility.

If someone could give the specifics to the DS tech team they could perhaps find the problem before more people leave.

I use Avast Free and it does a great job warning against malicious sites before it will open them. It has never warned of any threats from DS. Also, I have not had any viruses or any other malware since I've been a member here. The free versions of AVG, Avast, and AntiVir are as good as the paid versions, they just lack the extra bells and whistles. The actual malware protection is the same since they must maintain their reputations.

Its quite possible it is coming from FB if you have your FB & DS accounts connected
