Yes, but statistically, there's a higher rate of suicide among BPII's.

No comment, I'm BPI but have no idea what it feels like to be BPII so I can't say which is worse.

We have had this discussion 1000Xs or more and it always leads to big ol argument . Its sort of like asking who has it harder - single black woman with 5 kids or single white woman with 5 kids given they both live in poverty. Does it really matter cuz both sides suck.

For the record tho - I am BP1 and tho no its not a walk in the park my heart goes out to those that are BP2 I couldnt do it

I'm fairly certain neither one is a cake walk, but i prefer my BP1 roller coaster after riding it for sooooooooooooo many years.

I use to be BP II but was upgraded to BP I this year. Maybe I'm BP 1.5?

i was bpii, now bpi, and i would say bpii has it harder. if only because they are less likely to be diagnosed and properly treated. but, i think we all hurting.

Can I say there hasn't been a census on my diagnosis. I'm bipolar 1 according to some psychiatrists and therapists and bipolar 2 according to others.

Personally, I don't think one has it "worse" than another. I think they are equally destructive.

BP 2 is stronger and can kick your BP1's ass/brain or both.

ps: I'm BP 1.75 i think...only having psychotic features when depressed or mixed. Try that on for size.

My pdoc will only say BP no ones or twos or threes.

bipolar 1s do have it worse. It is much more difficult to treat. Many bipolar 2s can be treated with a simple antidepressant and anti anxiety med. I've been catatonic, haven't slept for 18 days, thought I was a CIA operative and drove to Colorado because I thought an angel told me too. I'm bipolar 1.
