Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I am not sure if anyone has delt with this in the past. I work for a major corporation and recently my meds have changed, my mood is up and down, I am expierencing a lot of migraines, anxiety and depression. Suicidal thoughts and rumination is presant. My HR depratment knows of my struggles and is willing to help. I must have my doctor fax a form back to a third party called Unum for ADA accomodations. However I am nervous to ask my doctor to complete this form. I am not asking for additional days off or a free pass. It's just for those days that I cant deal with and need to stay home. Otherwise, without this accomodtion I will be subject to disiplinary action and eventually a possible termination. Should I be afraid to dicuss this with my psychietrist? Any help or suggestions would be welcome! Thank you.
