I'm off all medication right now (because I'm pregnant) and I'm in a mixed episode. My brain won't shut up. It's driving me nuts. I have all these thoughts bouncing around at top speed. My emotions are off the wall. I don't remember ever having this much of a hard time getting myself under control before. I haven't done anything all morning because I can't concentrate. I'm exhausted just trying to deal with my emotions and thoughts. Does anyone have any suggestions for a way to kick my brain off overdrive?

Put on some soothing music
Take a warm bath or shower
call all your friends and have a girly chat

Music, yes! That's a really good thought, it usually helps shut up some of the stuff going on in my head. I'm gonna give that a try. I have to get my little one off the bus soon or else I'd try the bath suggestion too. Thanks so much for the suggestions dd! I welcome any and all other suggestions, since I anticipate this episode lasting a while, ugh.

I play mind games think of the abc game on things like apple, bananna. etc and go right through. play guitar, crosswords and word games. and I come on here too.

Look up 3 favorite subjects on the internet and just read a short amount on each one - great distraction, and you don't get too much info all at once.

Bath's are my personal healer - but that one's already been said.

When I find myself with racing thoughts I take 10 deep breaths through my nostrils give it a try works for me.

Thank you all for some really good suggestions, I really appreciate it. The music is really helping and now I have some of the other suggestions tucked away for later use, I'm gonna need them. :-)
