Okay so I know that nothing said on the internet is confidential, especially when it is on a public forum.

To me this place is kind of like Vegas, what happens here should stay here. People come to DS to be free from facing judgement from people in the real world.

With that said, it would seem that if some one you are friends with on DS and say Facebook both would be respectful of the fact that certain things discussed on DS would not be desired to be trickled over to FB.

What do you think?

I share alot here and I share alot on FB - I will out myself in a heartbeat either place but NO I do not think that anyone else has the right to out me either place using info gained from the other place Make sense?

You are dead right! Nothing should be discussed on FB regarding DS. That is one reason I stay away from it. I don't think anyone on DS would say something one purpose on FB but it is a risk I am not willing to take at the moment.

For me- I have DS and I have FB. Seperate. Just my choice and where I am at.

I absolutely agree with Pickle.

This is the very reason, whilst I have a Facebook account, I tend to stay away from posting anything at all, it's all down to my paranoia I guess. But yet I post away on here.

Silent - whatever we post is our choice and should never be someone elses . . .the world knows my ass is BP but its my choice whether to let the eentire world outside of DS to know my ass is unmedicated at the moment

I do realize as sossie has stated that confidentiality on a public forum is not well, so confidential. That said for me Confidentiality is like a silent code that I respect.

If I want to share aspects of my disorders and issues to the "outside" world then it is my choice. Not one person should take it upon themselves to share what they know about someone.

I agree so to make things better I don't use my real name or DS name on Facebook. Once I did that I still got hacked so I did some changes and didn't put DS.com as one of my favorite places to be connected with.

Agreed. I have a few DS + FB friends. To me, it's an unspoken agreement that the 2 sites are for different purposes, and those purposes should stick to their own.

I would not go on fb and ask other people their opinions/advice about BP (or divulge information about my DS + FB friend)...just like I would not come on here to tell you about something my DS + FB friend has posted on fb.

I have a lot of you on here on FB and I never ever say anything to them about BP on there. As far as I am concerned, none of you have BP when I am on FB.
