I was just disagnoed with Bi Polar 2 mania and I have noticed that since the death of Brad I have been spending a lot of money.The medication is expensive and i dont like to take it.I havent been able to sleep good and this is what worried me.But I am worrried,,very,very worried because I hve been playing the lottery and spending the money on instants.With the instants I have been winning the money and I don t know what do.What do you do when you develop an interest in gambling? I also watch the poker tournament and I have been playing the free slots on line.Is it possible that I can be a gambler and this is one of the problems that have hidden with me and it took bi polarism to find out? If I am a gambler can it be that I am manic? Because I love the sound of the slot machines and i love those one arm bandits.I also want to learn the big wheel and this is all happening.I have to watch my money and I am getting so worried.Any suggestions? Please help me,This bi polarism is changing my life and I need a roommate.I cant be broke no more.What should I do? It is the bi polarsism?

I went thru rehab last year because yeah I have huge and I mean HUGE gambling addiction - dropped 168K in 9 months last year. Did it help(rehab)? Somewhat . . will I ever gamble again? Truthflly probably but never that amount and I try really hard to not do it at all.

Yes once my manic ass is in the casino in RL or I have pulled up an online one my ass is basically sunk but I have had 2 therapists tell me its not only a BP issue for me. Its also an ADHD thing for me - the lighs and the sounds of the slots and the stimulation of everything around me are a huge ADHD trigger. I thought about this one and yeah they are dead on.

Try getting a hadle on this before it gets out of control. I am fortunate (in some sick way) I could "afford" my drop of 168K and it didnt set me back - I had it in my checking account but most of us that are addicted end up filing for bancruptcy and lots worse to feed our addiction

My daughter is bp and has developed an addiction to gambling.
We had to take the computer away.
Cant afford rehab.
Does this shit never end?

My cousin was a compulsive gambler and also bipolar 1. He was borrowing money from family and saying it was for his kids. I went with him once and he just was putting $5 tokens one after the other into this big slot machine. But he would win every once in a while which kept him going. He looked totally manic as he was doing this and was in a manic state before that. He was always in financial ruin from overspending as well on things he could not afford.
