depressed i don't have enough
sometimes i cycle rapidly... sometimes i have steadier periods
i am overcoming heaps of ptsd.
hypomania
full blown mania
depression
psychosis (but not in all cases)
BP2
hypomania
depression
psychosis (again not in all cases)
the difference is mania.. hypomania is a lighter version of mania but not as severe
with BP2... I think its a lot rarer and is related to depression not hypomania
For full-mania. I go through hypomania and then theres a point in there where I just loose it. I see myself as God, I can do anything, and no one is getting in my way. I loose control of everything, go into psychosis and can't control anything anymore. The voices don't stop. I feel possessed cause I can't control anything anymore. I also become very very hypersexual, and everything is still amazing. The problem is I'm so delusional I can't function right with the rest of the world. Things start falling apart, yet I don't see them as. I try harder and harder to do better at everything and go faster and faster. No one can understand me cause I'm going so fast, and I go into a non-functional state. From there everything goes downhill and I crash. It just simply goes from good to too far!
Great experience, but very destructive.
I am BP 2 with psychotic features.
I was given prednisone in September last year and life has NOT been the same since if I am honest. Part of me lives in fear.
My point is that I have psychotic features and go homicidal. I especially want to kill my son when in this state. Fortunately I do have the police department on speed dial just in case.
LET ME BE CLEAR MY SON IS AN ADULT LIVING WITH ME NOT A SMALL CHILD.
I went off Lithium and started homicidal ideation again. Fortunately it is controllable FOR NOW.
My former pdoc explained it this way when I asked him about my diagnosis.
He said the reason that he was not diagnosing me as BP 1 is that when I had the psychotic features I know they are not real. (i.e. talking to and seeing the dead). I tend to stay lucid enough to check myself in to the hospital but have only done so twice.
He homicidal ideation thing scares the hell out of me though.
I did NOT mean to hijack your thread and I apologize if I have droned on I just needed to talk I suppose.
Thanks if you have gotten this far.
as can myriad other things.
