Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I don't lie about my needs or dreams. Those are real. I feel those and don't necessarily know if I have it in me to lie to myself about those things. For me, they feel more instinctual.
I do put on a face in front of other people because it's just easier that way, sometimes. I don't like bringing other people down. I tend to only hide my emotions - like if I'm in physical pain or if I'm depressed.
Other than that - I dunno, I've never really lied to myself in that manner. I think I've experienced unintentional denial.
Too, i don't know if I've understood your question fully.
Because in the end - it always comes out.and usually in destructive ways. Take care of yourself, okay? (hugs)
I said well it is what I have to do sometimes to make everyone happy. He told me that if I lie it isn't making anyone happy. I just looked at him and said what you don't know won't hurt you.
I lit to my self everyday and convince my self I am okay with my life..when in fact I am not.
