Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Even so, I can only see them 1 at a time, and avoid social gatherings because there's too much noise and that tends to trigger my manic/panic side. When I am depressed, I rather not see a soul and just hide under the blankets and hope to die.
I am by nature a very social person who typically thrives on group situations, and have been as part of my job in the position of running large meetings of 30-40 people, all-day discussions with biz dinners and such. Right now, I must say, I cannot imagine how I did that. Dinner with my husband's family is TOO much.
For example, tomorrow, we plan to go just us + our 2 little kids to brunch. That's as much as I can handle. Other days, I am OK going to lunch with a friend. Even when I am in groups, like school events, I seat in the corner and keep to myself, do not engage as I used to. I hope people don't think me a snob. I just cannot talk and be talked to. I totally understand.
