so when i was a lil girl i hated to be on the bus because i felt that they were all watching me and talking aout me behind my back. there were days when i just felt really dark thoughts that the world was closing in on me i had to go home and sleep it off. i just couldnt deal. there was one time i went to camp and forgot to bring my suitcase home.

what i want to know is what kinds of things did you do when you were a kid that were merely warning symptoms to what is full blown BP.

fliping out everyone,hittin my friends with candles sticks as hard as I could..staying up all nite even when I really wanted to sleep and cryed alot when I couldnt.did really bad in school away got into shit there they wanted me to be put on a.d.d pills but my mom wouldnt

I was a goody goody two shoes until my late teens when I snapped in the opposite direction and became some hypo uncaring top of the world princess!

I remember the pricipal of my elementary school had a conference with my mom about how dissorganized I was losing things alot. I also remember being a loner as a child with not very much confidence.

i used to be really shy and withdrawn when i was a kid and used to throw really bad anry tantrums. to me now that i know i have bp i see that was a start of it back then...

I was alternately a loner and then outgoing, then withdraw. I think I got in a fight or two as a little kid (had brothers, tho so that's part of it) As a teen, I baffeled people when I'd be superfriendly, then hardly remember them later. Friends and acquaintences often said I was weird.
I also cried a lot but got hyper too. But was pretty creative as well.

Hey, anybody else ever freak people out with their mood swings? People just didn't know how to deal with such extremes!

I sometimes wonder... I was hyper as can be in Kindergarten... but, in first grade I flourished... maybe bcs I could read when I was four... I needed more mental stimulation than the K grade gave me.......first grade was the best, my teacher was the best...I was chatty in class, but otherwise a great student

Well as far as the bus, I still ride the bus and boy is it hard I feel a panic attack is gonna happen all the time. As a kid I was made fun of because my mom didn't have alot to take care of me so I got made fun of at school sometimes.

At the age of 8 I overdosed On my fathers blood pressure meds. and the first time I tried suicide I was only 11. Things haven't change much with either and hell I'm almost 40 now.

I was picked on alot when I was a child, so I'm sure that played into me thinking people were watching and making fun of me, but I think most of my warning signs came out when I was a teenager. Running away, locking myself in my room, skipping school, breaking my hand when I punched a tree, yelling, screaming, and crying., blah blah blah.

In college I would finish all the semester work in about 2 weeks because I would stay up for days to finish.

im not sure this qestion is going to liked but i have to ask to put it straight in my head
i have never known anyone with bp or using bp as a excuse for violence against others

so how can violence against others be the early signal of bp ??
