Looking for someone that takes Metformin or anything that combats the weight gain on antipsychotics. I don't want to hear about good deit and eating healthy blah blah blah .. I have done that time over again and again. I remember and article about someone taking metformin (type 2 diabetic meds to combat weight gain and it worked in clinical trials. I want to find a doctor that would be willing to try this. If anyone had had luck let me know.

I just happened to be put on metformin for diabetes a year ago. After the first month I lost 10 lbs. But that was all I lost.

Hi. I take metformin, clozapine, concerta, cymbalta, lamictal, abilify, tegretol and valium. It has not really helped me a whole lot with losing weight, but I haven't gained much since I started it either. It has helped to keep my blood sugar down though.

I take Metformin for type 2 diabetes with my antipsychotics. I have recently been upped on the metformin and my weight is slowly coming down, but it didn't initially.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
