I have been very lucky with my meds working well. But, I don't think meds have the ability to completely remove our symptoms. They just help - not cure.
Alternately, you may not be taking the right med for you. Or, you haven't given it enough time to be effective. This is where a trusted doctor can really help. Talk to them soon, even if it's just a phone call. They may can increase your dose or change the med.
Hope you feel better soon. In the meantime, you know how important it is to eat well, drink plenty, sleep and be kind to yourself.
Unfortunately we often end up going through the trial and error stage to find the right meds BUT we eventually do... Hang onto the fact that we do have a very treatable disorder Stewie... It can just take some time to find the right treatment for each individual.....x
I think the world of medication is a pretty complex one. What works great for one person may work not so well for another....
It really does take the help of a pdoc to sort out your symptoms and find some medications that can bring about relief...
I've had the same problem as you antidepressants for me are worse than being depressed and they trigger mania. Its taken years but working with my pdoc we've found a solution....wishing the same for you....
