Another symptom...ripping my skin off

Also I get feelings of wanting to rip my skin off and escape....my god, I feel like a nutter saying that but there, I've said it...is this just another symptom of bipolar disorder?? I feel trapped in this body in this world in this life...Anyone with similar feelings/thoughts? Did medication help? Thanks, Ian (Australia)

Sometimes I feel so depressed that I want to tear my skin apart. Unfortunately I am a cutter so sometimes I actually do. Medication does help a little from keeping my lows from getting too low but therapy also helps with that. Hope it helped I'm here if you want to talk.

It sounds like you're talking about severe anxiety aussie??... I agree with Mark that meds could cause this...or if your state is ? mixed meds can help... I would try and get hold of your doc

And therapy can help a lot of with coping skills.... Great big hug for you..xo

It could be signs of an episode.

It also could be side effects of medications .

In either case, a call you your Dr is probably a good idea.
