Okay, I know you guys are getting tired of me posting these, but I have heard different things from different people about back pay.

If I get approved would I get backpay from the date that I was determined disabled? or from the date that I went to the ssdi office and filed?

Your back pay comes from the date you first filed...go through the process and then get approved.For me ,it was 9 months from date of fileing ,to date of approval...so I got 9 months back benifits.

My lawyer told me from the day I filed. I'm still waiting on mine. It's been 19 months since I first filed.

Why so long? That makes me worry :(
The lady in the SSDI office told me 120 days I should know if it will be approved or not.
So 4 months? Why does it take some people so long?
