anger and irritability

I don't mean just the normal kind, but the kind that goes for days. Anger over things you really shouldn't be angry about, irritability, rages and/or negativity. Are these included in symptoms of BP?
The more I have read its more indicative of BP II.

I get the mania and racing thoughts, but for me its more of a rage thing.

Do any of you get more of the anger and rages, as opposed to the mania portion of BP?

That's what I've been doing right now! I can't hardly be around anyone without becoming crazily angry at them! Sometimes I even get angry at my daughter and I know she can't help the things she does because she's only a toddler. I try not to let that get out of hand, though. My mother and father in law put me into a rage, where it's all I can do to keep my mouth shut and not say anything smart-ass to them. They are elderly and both sick, but they say and do things that infuriate me all the time! I had stopped doing this for a long time now, but it's just started coming back. Darn. I don't like being this way.

Anger / depression has always been an issue for me I was dx 7 weeks ago and they started me on lithium. The rage dissapeared on just 450mgs slow release, than they upped me to 900mgs lithium to help with the depression but the depression got worse ( along with my memory ) so they put me back down to 450mgs and my rage was back !

The rage is indescribable, its like a volcano that slowly erupts and bursts uncontrollably ... im soon to be put on modafinil, to help the depression and ditch lithium.. I most likely will still have the mania rage.. thats something to sort out later.

I dont get the overly happy mania highs, its all rage, I think thats mixed episodes. So it doesn;t make for a happy time.. good luck with your journey :)
