Am I alone here?

I know there are a few people out there who have BP kids....but the only ones I know of have older children.

My son is 7, and getting toward expulsion from school. I'm just curious if anyone knows what happens if he is expelled?

I know the state will have to fund his education, but what does that mean? Home schooling? Or sending him to some sort of reform school? I just don't know.

Any replies are really appreciated.

I think that ist may vary state by state. I did not know that they still fund schooling. Is it just expelled out of that school or all public schools? When they threatened to expel my daughter becuase she trheatened someone (like kids don't do that) they did n't give me any info just she is up for be expelled. Wish I could help more...best of luck to you!

Thanks dy. He would be state funded b/c he is well established within the state for having "behavioral disabilities". He has an IEP in place where he already receives services. If not for that, i doubt he'd be eligible for anything.

My son has threatened multiple times to bring a gun to school and shoot people. hits and kicks and scratches his teachers. But we just started his risperdal during the day to see if that helps. hopefully it does and I don't have to worry about anything.

I'm just curious what will happen if it doesn't work. I don't have much faith in finding the right meds right away, and fear that it'll be too late by the time we do find them.
