Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Yet i have friends online which don't allow me the comfort of seclusion as they are persistent without being intrusive. And they tend to be more gentle in their persuasion.
Yeah, i'm a sociopath.
Right now, I think I might be a little hypomanic though because I'm a chatterbox who will talk to anyone. Yesterday, I was giving the secretary in my pdoc's office advice on where to put a second trash barrel.
Sometimes I have periods where I can't be around anyone, and isolate myself completely, breaking social dates, not going out, even skipping work.
It happens a few times every month.
I have taken small steps to re-enter the world at large since losing my job (that's when my isolation really took hold of me )
I go to a small local coffee shop, usually a couple of times a week.
I try to get out and do some grocery shopping...
I try to do small cheerful chatty talk with people I meet...it works most of the time...and then sometimes my social anxiety just gets the best of me.
I do little steps
I do go places, but I don't like staying long, I want to get back home. I will talk to my friends on the phone, on here, I don't mind if they come over, just let me know.
I just like my home. No it isn't the greatest, but it is "mine". No judgement here I guess. I don't know. Just the way it is.
This why I volunteer. Its gets me out, makes me meet people and gives me the ability to think of others.
