Do you have a relaxing med on hand? I can't say what you should do but I'd be using tranquilizers or valerian to take the edge off. I only take these at bedtime...

What type of things are you taking? I would be calling my dr.

oops misread that, im just taking prozac, as the abilify makes me hungry and i dont want to gain weight

Well, I used to smoke pot for that feeling, but now I take my meds and/or some Seroquel. Maybe if you are stable enough, go for a drive by yourself or just lay down in a nice quiet room and have a good cry. Usually makes me feel better. Hugs.

I have been living in an irritable and snapping place all week. I have been cursing at every slow and stupid driver on the road. I am hating at everything and everyone. i feel sorry for my family, really sorry.

Part of my problem is I am cutting back on Abilify (making me gain weight)

Is there something triggering you to feel so irritable?

When this happens to me, I try to stay in my room away from everyone. It help's being alone and sorting it out myself. Try it, it may help. Good luck.

Hope you feel better soon. I get the same way and when I do I usually end up leaving the house, walking, shopping, some sort of distraction. And I take a klonopin too!!

When I get that way I punch something soft and not living ;) Like a pillow or the punching bag i have outside. That or I listen to Green Day or some sort of angry music really loud and jump and dance out all my irritability. And if that doesn't work i just lie in my room away from anyone and try to stay really still till I feel better...

I try to stay away from my family/friends b/c I find if I am around them then I take these emotions out on them, then later I realize what I did was wrong and end up apologising. I mean, I'm lucky... I have a real understanding family, but there's only so much "abuse" they're willing to take. If it is not possible to stay away from my family/friends (like on a long car ride), then I tend to carry my ipod with me this way I don't have to listen to anyone. If I can't be by myself, my ipod is dead and I'm in the midst of a serious flip out I'll use my last resort and take 0.50 mg of clonazepam. It's not something I like to do too often since benzos can become habit forming, but it's easier to take those for a couple of days then destroy everything around me. Good luck.
