I get an electrical feeling which generates from my solar plexus outward. I have often wondered if this physical sensation is an early symptom of a manic episode.

I have been feeling it for a couple of days now. Today I am almost climbing walls with it.

Opines anyone?

I get that feeling preceding a panic attack.

I use Xanax and a nice sleep to counteract the feeling

I get that feeling as an early symptom of mania -- it's when I give my bank and visa cards to my husband because I know what's coming...

The only time I feel electrical is when I play with the electric fence. Fun yeah.

I heard the dehydration theory back in the 80's. It caused me to drink so much water that I completely flushed all the potassium out of my system without making a dent in the problem.

yeah incoming mania or mixed..or agitated depression arfie. Horrible. Antipsychotics or increased mood stabiliser dose usually help sort it

I have had an electric current/vibration feeling coming from midsection as well. I associate it with akasthisia and anxiety. It is a restless, uncomfortable feeling and just having it creates anxiety. I feel like I have to keep doing and moving. It looks and feels sort of like hypomania.

Akasthisia really is perverse, as it looks like a psych symptom instead of a side effect.

With all that said, I would talk to your pdoc about it. You never know until you do, and then you still don't really know. LOL.

    I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying.  I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there.  I think that I will start writing in it again.  It's so therapeutic.
