Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Oh, yes. I have been on and off of pretty much every psych med ever, and I've discovered that I react very oddly to most of them. I have learned to listen to my body, and not my doctor or the literature that comes with the medication. Call me crazy (it wouldn't be the first time!), but I believe that when your body rejects something that violently, it's because you aren't supposed to be putting it in your body. There are certain side effects that can be put up with, and then there are reactions like yours and mine. That isn't something that you just deal with.
I hope that you're feeling better, and that your cat is, too. Bottom line, if your pdoc tells you that isn't a result of the drug - well, I'm not going to tell you to tell him/her to go f*ck themself, - but remember that as much as they have gone to school and been in practice as a professional, they don't live in your body. Ultimately, you need to be in control of what goes into your body. There are loads of other drugs out there, specifically other atypical anti-psychotics, to which I'm guessing you wouldn't react so violently. Don't give up. You'll find something.
(Sorry that was so long!)
Dreams of flying can mean different things. If you are doing it for joy it's just a happy dream. If you are flying in an effort to get away from something it means you are trying to escape your problems.
