Hi guys, I just felt compelled to share this. In May last year I had a serious bout of psychosis and anxiety. I had repeated thoughts that I was being stabbed and cut up...no, not very pleasant at all. I was hospitalized for a week and they added some drugs. While in hospital though, a strange thing occurred...I started chanting the Hare Krishna Mantra over and over....within a few months, I was feeling pretty good with no suicidal thoughts and no thoughts of being stabbed...no negative thoughts at all. The mantra is designed to treat mental anguish...and it sure did for me...I encourage people to give it a go. You can repeat the mantra as often as you like life through out the day. Give it a go and see what effect it has on you...my bet is you'll feel more peaceful. Here is the magic mantra to repeat:

Say silently to yourself, Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

This works - you'll feel better - but do not go off your meds!!!!

It may take some time to work eg 3 weeks to a month but the results are wonderful.

If anyone tries this, please post back here with your results.

krishna is is the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism. rama is another name for krishna

literally translated from sanskrit:

energy of god krishna (x2)

I tend to use a different method. Whatever method you chose that works for you is great! I am glad that you found one that works for you! For me It is that I read Proverbs Every day of the week. The thoughts in this great book of the Bible Keep me going.
