Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Bipolar itself addles capacity to concentrate, methinks..read recently that bp1's have more of an issue with this
Wierd. Of course I suppose all of this goes out the window if any of it caused someone to bounce into mania.
I noticed it took a bit to get used to the side effects and that some days I need only half of what I am prescrbied and other days the full dose.
I do not feel necessarily manic as Ritalin does not work on Seratonin. I feel a little wired - but it's a different feeling I am getting used to. It wears off and does not set me off into a bad mixed state or anything.
We will see if anything different happens on day 2, tomorrow.

I'm on Adderall too. I am ADHD, but I don't know if the Adderall really does anything for me except balance out all the downer stuff I am on. I know if I don't take my Adderall because I'll sleep all day and have no desire to move.
My therapist recommended "Living with ADD-A Workbook for Adults with ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER" by M. Susan Roberts, Ph.D. and Gerard J. Jansen, Ph. D. She said it is really good for not only those of us with ADD or ADHD, but those of us with Bipolar and one of my other disorders. She decided to use it as my workbook because it covers impulsiveness and other areas that overlap with my diagnosises.
The workbook is only about $8.
