Hope all is well.
Monday I have an appt with my pdoc and I want him to put me on an additional med. I am starting to get really really depressed for the past few weeks and more paranoid and my hallucinations are getting worse again. I have been on 36 different meds and unsure of what to try. It comes down to re-trying things because I have tried most of them. I am looking for an anti-psychotic that could help with the depression and psychotic symptoms.
Any advise?
I am taking right now:
-lamictal ODT-400 mg
-Zyprexa zydis-20 mg
-Adderall-60 mg (to stay awake during the day with the zyprexa because it makes me sleep 16-18 hours a day lol)

Anyway, it's hard to say because I don't know what you've tried. And since you're already having to take Adderall to stay awake, I can't think of an anti-psychotic that wouldn't make you sleep even more than the Zyprexa Zydis.
I take Haldol and it's the only med that has ever really helped me as far as with psychosis.
I hate that you're still having symptoms. That sucks! My best advice is to talk to your pdoc. I'll be thinking of you Monday, hoping that he/she will be able to help.
Hallucinations SUCK!! I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. Yet, I find it funny that some people actually take illegal drugs that cause them. I guess it's all fun and games until you wind up in a psych ward.
