i used to be stable was for a long long time in fact...it was wonderful and glorious and down right grand...i took my meds and i was normal...it was almost like i didnt have this god awful disease...then things change and it all came crashing down...thought i had found it again but now im not so sure its gonna last...but hey the stable times are great so ill keep hoping i get there and stay there one day...guess thats like hoping to win the lottery...hey it could happen...lol

don't know, i've only been medicated since august and thought i was stable but after keeping a mood journal discovered i was not, have "tweaked" meds and am feeling slightly manic, but that beats the heck out of depressed

i believe its like any other illness. there are flare ups, remission, etc. and meds help manage the symptoms and delay flare ups. ive heard a few on hear who say they are happy and content and that their stability is hear to stay. although i don' know if i believe that to be honest.

but 5 years on meds....seems like you should have at least some periods of contentment. so here is the typical response: maybe talk to pdoc about adjusting or changing meds

I am stable, but haven't reached the happiness part, but am much better than without meds! It is possible. I'm much more motivated and content these days, and it makes me feel good!! Patience is the key. We are very strong individuals, just remember that!! Hugs to you

Off and on. I have struggled with the up and down, in and out, flat and happy, for alot of years. I just try to deal with it the best I can and use all the coping skills I have picked up along the way. xo
